Green Initiatives at Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport

At Sheraton Gateway Hotel Atlanta Airport our focus is our guests satisfaction and making sure you have the best experience possible when you stay with us.  Part of that is making sure we are taking care of you as well as our environment.

We have made sure all guestroom lighting has been replaced with energy efficient bulbs saving an average of 70% occupancy of electricity every year.  We will now deliver newspapers to each elevator landing instead of placing by every room which will eliminate papers left behind that were never used.  We encourage our guests to do their part and participate in our green movement by keeping the same sheets on your bed and use the towels again during your stay.  Those who choose to participate in this initiative are rewarded with a $5 F&B voucher to use during their stay.

We are also making sure hotel employees and group businesses are taking larger steps to create a green atmosphere.  We have begun recycling office paper, cans and plastics and office paper is now bought using post recycled paper.  We will reduce the use of paper printed for internal meetings and encourage employees to utilize electronic presentations or online communication.  And we have started to give group meeting planners the option to do water stations in the back of meeting rooms instead of water pitchers and glasses at every setting.
